 Russia, China and Iran begin joint military exercises


Russia, China and Iran have launched a joint military exercise, the Caucasus 2020. The military exercise began on Monday. The exercises are being held in the Black Sea, the Caspian Sea and the southern Russian military. The joint military exercise will continue till September 28.

 

It is learned that this ongoing exercise has been organized on the initiative of Russia. So the armies of Iran, China, Pakistan, Armenia, Belarus and Myanmar are also taking part.


Russia has said that 60,000 members of the armed forces will take part in the Caucasus 2020 exercise. Two and a half tanks, four and a half armored vehicles and two hundred artillery and missile systems will take part in it.


In the Caspian Sea and Black Sea, various Iranian warships will join the exercise with the Russian navy. The active presence of about 60 Russian military transport aircraft will also be observed in this exercise.


The Russian military says cruise missiles and drones will be used extensively in the exercise. Cruise missiles and drones are said to be given special importance.
