The United States has again imposed sanctions on Iran. US President Donald Trump announced the sanctions on Monday, accusing Iran of trying to build a nuclear weapon.

 

Trump said in a statement that 27 individuals and organizations involved in Iran's missile and nuclear programs have been brought under sanctions this year. Trump claims the sanctions are aimed at curbing Iran's missile and nuclear programs.


The United States has sought to reinstate all UN sanctions against Iran through the UN Security Council. But after failing to do so, Washington took the step; Although Trump did not confess.


Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Finance Minister Stephen Manuchehr and Defense Secretary Mark Asper spoke at a joint news conference on Monday in support of Trump's new sanctions against Iran.
